PlaTCOM
Casts Wider Net with Islamic Innovation Challenge
This year’s challenge
expands the criteria for more innovative qualifiers
PlaTCOM
Ventures Sdn. Bhd. has officially launched the Islamic Innovation Challenge
2017, the follow-up to last year’s Halal Hi-Tech Challenge 2016. The change of
name mirrors the decision to include wider scope of Islamic market areas such
as travel, fintech, mobile applications and many more. The increase in
categories enables for more innovation to be qualified for entry to the Islamic
Innovation Challenge that is running from 7 August 2017 until 15 October 2017.
Similar
to last year’s challenge, a total of RM5 million is up for grabs by the most innovative
companies in the Islamic market and winners will be automatically enrolled into
the High Impact Programme 2, a technology commercialisation platform that will propel
their innovations to commercialisation. Interested parties may head on over to
the challenge’s microsite at www.platcomdiscovery.com/islamicinnovation
and register for the challenge before proceeding to submit the application
documents.
The Islamic Innovation Challenge is organised
by PlaTCOM Ventures Sdn. Bhd., Agensi Inovasi Malaysia and SME Corporation
Malaysia, with Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) and Halal Industry Development
Corporation (HDC) as co-organisers.
