This 3-days workshop based training was aimed to cover the entire breath of the commercialisation and technology transfer processes.
A total of 8 modules were delivered by PlaTCOM in an interactive manner, coupled with case studies to help participants learn the ‘best practice’ commonly performed by professional technology transfer specialists in the commercialisation process.
The modules delivered include:
- Invention Disclosure
- Opportunity Screening & Assessment
- Creating and Protecting Intellectual Property (IP)
- Patent Process and Management
- Patent Strategy
- Marketing & Promotion
- Technology Licensing & Assignment
- Spin-off Company Formation
Participants were provided with real commercialisation business cases, which were successfully facilitated by PlaTCOM and gained first hand experience from the various types of commercialisation projects across Malaysia.
Dr Farrah Aini, Senior Lecturer, commented, “ This training is by far the best training I attended on Commercialisation and Technology Transfer. PlaTCOM was able to give me real cases of commercialisation conducted in Malaysia and I found it very helpful for me to understand what it takes to close a business deal. Rather that just knowing the theory, I can better relate to how a deal is done”. “I don’t think commercialisation is something you can learn without real case studies, it just add much more depths with real local cases and examples” she added.
PlaTCOM designs and delivers a wide range of courses and programs to meet specific needs and requirements for a variety of institutions. For more information, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
